RingCentral Ease of Use and Setup
You should be able to sign up, setup, and activate your RingCentral account without hassle. There are a number of steps to follow as you customize the service to suit your business’s needs. If you need any help along the way, you can schedule an appointment with an Implementation Advisor or you can call customer support which is available 24/7.
You must first activate your account and set up account security.
- Activate Your Account – Use the activation link that you received in an email. Note: This link will be available for 48 hours only.
- Mobile Number Verification – Choose a mobile number that will be used for verification. You’ll receive a call and will be given a verification code which you’ll need to input.
- Create a Password – Follow the password criteria.
- Create a PIN – This will be used to check your voicemail messages over the phone.
- Choose a Security Question and Answer – To be used to identify your account with customer support.
You’ll then be ready to set up your company’s phone system and input its details.
- Set Up the RingCentral System
- Set up all users – assign extensions, select an operator, develop a dial-by-name directory for users.
- Create your company greeting – keep the default or record a customized greeting.
- Establish your operator extension – this will route callers to your assigned operator.
- Set Up the Phone System
- Introduce My Info – including your information, regional settings, and emergency calling.
- Launch call forwarding – set calls to ring only on your primary phone or set it to ring on other phones when you’re away from your desk.
- Initiate the voicemail greeting – keep the default or customize the voicemail greeting.
You’ll finally need to review all of the information you just inputted before you can continue. At this point, you’ll be able to download the mobile apps, Glip, and the RingCentral Desktop app so you’ll be able to make use of all of the features available at RingCentral.
